As usual a helpful update from Ben. He seemed to give some reassurance on the finances and indicated that some speculation was way off. The deadline for filing the HRBFC account is approaching fast now so will be interesting to see what they show, or perhaps it won't be easy to draw much in the way of conclusions.

Very good update. We are lucky that Ben has been involved and able to pick up the pieces from last season. It's good to know a grown up is in charge.

Absolutely baffled if we let Campbell go for footballing reasons. Was demonstrably really good at creating space. Wasn’t he?

Chairman's update. Confirms French has departed, Babajide is dual registered at Carshalton, and Campbell's departure was the manager's decision as part of playing a different way. Makise Evans has also been recalled by Stevenage.

Not a knock at the Chairman, but having to watch over 11 minutes of a Chairman's video to have updates on player ins and outs is odd.
Ben said in the video he doesn't get involved in the media side and lets them get on with it, that's fine, but why can't there be website or social media updates of players leaving.
I'm not saying it should be information released on a Friday afternoon tipping off the opposition before a game, but can't an official post be done, just to keep the supporters up to date?
Good on you Ben for giving the updates.

Based on last night I did not see much change in the way we played, except we played a right footed player at left back until it was switched at the break. We are short of players when the bench had a reserve keeper and a academy player. Ok perhaps injuries and suspensions might be the cause, perhaps the releasing of Campbell could have been delayed a week or so longer?
The game next Saturday is looking more vital, defeat there plus at St Albans and later Enfield and....!!?

The key point though is that Campbell was one of our best players and it is bizarre he was released at all.

Two new players signed both on loan. A left back from Wealdstone Henry Jeffcott and a proven striker at this
level from Hemel Joe Iaciofano. Both might be in the team tomorrow.

Jeffcott only joined Wealdstone two weeks ago after leaving Arsenal Academy at the end of last season. Doesn't look like he has played in that time so fitness levels may be an issue.Iaciafano has started 8 times for Hemel with 12 sub appearances, 5 goals. Had a good record at Oxford City a couple of seasons back, also played at Havant & W and St Albans City.

Given this information on Jeffcott it does seem even more strange about the Campbell decision. It might be that there are other factors that we are not aware off?

Not really, Jeffcott has arguably some of the best football education you can get from a club like Arsenal who play a progressive style.
Think physicality will be the main thing he needs to improve to hang at this level, quality on the ball won’t be a problem

Given the comments made by Alam Julian after the last game it would seem that Rudy Allen had a good game. Looking at the squad we seem to have a lot of midfield players, wonder if we will see a departure soon?
