And some thought we might avoid relegation with the experienced players we had. The point was that the budget wasn’t as low as some thought. If the budget has been cut further (we don’t really know) and remained at this level then I think it’s a fair assumption we could finish lower than this season. Our current form is definitely relegation form and given we might have a similar team then I would question how is this going to change. Some might take on the challenge others might say there are better options.

I guess the club might as well fold today with that view.

Strange comment. The club would have to drop down the leagues until it found its level.Always been the case if it doesn't have the funding.

Exactly and supporters will continue to support the club in their own ways. Some will question how things are going to change, claim relegation is "nailed on" and start speculating the manager will leave. Others won't.

It takes all sorts!

To be clear JimS, I have never said relegation next season is nailed-on. I was making the point that if the manager thought that he was going to get less budget than this year, and have a very similar team to the one that has just lost 10 out of the last 11 games, then then he might want to consider whether he wanted to continue. It was really just putting it out there that we shouldn't just assume that Alan Julian will be around next season if he is dealt an even worse hand. I have absolutely no idea how he is thinking or indeed what hand he might be dealt. But this is non league where players move freely between clubs and the best deals they can get given the ups and downs on clubs' finances. When the club cut Alan Devonshire's budget in 2010/11 he saw out the season and then moved on to Braintree who had just been promoted to the Conference National. No one was surprised and perfectly understood why he took the opportunity.

True but clearly nobody is a "nailed-on certainty" for relegation unless they start the season with an absolutely massive points deduction.

Around this time last year many here thought we were a certainty for relegation this season. Look how that turned out.
The way things atre going we aren't going to be that far off the relegation zone, if not in it.

I:read that some folk on other websites suggest we will get no more points this season and could be relegated on the last day. We wait and see three more points should be sufficient..

I wouldn't disagree with that view. Relegation might be unlikely but we're by no means safe...
