With Slough on a bad run as well. They lost 4-0 at Weymouth. Just wonder if the last game of the season could see two teams desperate for survival points!

I think on the day we were beaten by a better team. However we gave them a game, and played quite well. We didn't particularly deserve anything but we frustrated them for long periods and won the ball in some good positions. We hit the post directly from a corner, and had a few other attempts where we didn't connect with the shot like we'd have wanted. Not a penalty at all for their 1st, but the ref was the ref, and just a poor set piece for the 2nd, so not clear cut like last weeks 1st and 3rd. Wouldn't have expected anything before the game, and nothing really changes. St Albans winning and the gap getting into single digits away from the drop zone is closer than we all would've liked to be, but I maintain we are safe on 48. Referee was appalling yesterday, believe Luke got booked too but unlike Jules stopped. If you go onto Worthings Highlights on you tube there is a clear view of his Yellow and Red. He clapped the decision as he thought it was going our way then turned in disgust when the foul went against us. Ok he gets excited in the dugout but in this scenario the busybody of a 4th Official & Ref was looking for an excuse. No defending the red card however, once he was booked he just needs to zip his mouth.

Haven't really seen one team who I think look like out and out league winners yet, and that end of the table is really tight to call. Odei ran non-stop for them and the likes of Cashman is too good for this level. And shock Worthing scored under 3 minutes after taking off the useless Temi Babalola, who is an absolute waste of time at this level in my opinion.

Next 2 Saturdays our best chance of mathematically securing safety and to avoid squeaky bum time. Bath are improving under Darren Way and will be definitely up for it, and if we play like we did Yesterday, we will get something out of the game, no doubt in my eyes.

Thanks Hamptonlifer5 for the report. Think we all realise that the next two home games are vital, a minimum of three points and we should be ok.

Looking at the form charts they made very worrying reading. We rival already relegated Aveley for the bottom spot in most of the last 4, 6, 8, and 10. fixtures. Goal scored have dried up with just two in the win at Aveley. Yet despite this Roberts is nowhere to be seen with no explanation as to what is the problem.

We definitely shouldn't be relying on points from the Welling game. They will be up for it and the 3 points as we have shown we are now a poor side with no goalscoring potential. The manager has had enough games to get us out of trouble and the fans are still worried about the outcome of the season. If the club can't be honest with the supporters about what is happening with certain players they can hardly expect the fan to be enthusiastic in following the club.

Absolutely agree with your last point Tones. I genuinely think people would rally round if the club could just be a little bit more open about these sort of issues, esp re Roberts, who is a proper senior player.
Quite simply if the club is unfortunate enough to go down this season, or it becomes clear that next season is going to be a year of real struggle, then it would help to involve the supporters in creating the kind of siege mentality that might be needed.

Elpus you are spot on. The club is re collaborating after the "brothers" and it is inevitable that it will pretty much rely on volunteers to survive. Building bridges to get the volunteers back on board should start with good communication. between the club and its supporters. That isn't there at the moment and hasn't been for some time.

That's exactly what I mean TW10. It really should be all about engagement and I wonder if the time to do something about this might be sooner rather than later.

Agree with everything that has been mentioned here, it is vital the club take these comments on board. We’ll find out if they do in the near future.

Dont worry the 12th April Welling at home will give us points.
There you go 5.0
