Not sure I agree with Jules saying losing is a “blessing in disguise.”

The only positive Jules took from the game was that we could now focus on the league!!!

A blessing in disguise??" That's a bit of a desperate thing to hint at. Can you truly imagine other clubs fans putting up with a comment like that after losing to a side 2 leagues below? Not good enough.

Jules saying last year this competition really hindered us at the back end, is he quite sure? The last cup game we played was the 4th of Jan, we had 1 game moved to a Tuesday due to our playing cup commitments, and that was a Tuesday vs Welling, on the 14th Jan. That's clutching at straws, today was deeply offensive to anyone watching or associated with the football club. Leatherhead are flying, we are sinking but there is still 2 leagues difference, if you're rotational squad can't beat them, then the recruitment hasn't been good enough, no matter the budget. Baring in mind we played full strength for what was available that's even more concerning. We have to focus on the league now and I reckon we are 12 wins from definite safety. Not sure about Jules interview but when we have a full squad we have to win games. Quickly.

Don't see as many games as most people on here, but Massey is a big miss.

"This is going to sound a bit crazy but I wanted to win the game today"

Is that the most ludicrous statement ever made by a manager?

(Plus if Ince couldn't be bothered to stay and support the team get rid of him as soon as possible).

Please tell me we didn't sign Ince on a contract or if we did let's hope there is a release clause on games played or whatever.. needs to be off the payroll that's for sure

I assume that Ince is on a contract. If the standard National League contract, then if a player is unable to play because of long-term injury then they receive pull pay for 6 weeks, which is then reduced to statutory sick pay until they are fit. The club has the option to continue paying full wages if they like. Contracts can be terminated on 3 month's notice if in the opinion of a club instructed medic, the player is unable to play for four months. I can foresee an issue whereby players game the system by coming back from injury only to play a short while then going back injured for a further period.

Leatherhead get Harrow, another Step 4 club, at home. Just makes Saturday's result even more disappointing.

All conquering Leatherhead managed a last minute equaliser to draw 2-2 with Bedfont Sports.
