Alex Wall is a hard nut target man who did look like a handful a few years ago but has been /injured/ineffective in recent years. Lets hope Jules can inspire him.

I too have some reservations as to these signings.
With regards to Wall, do we assume that Bloomfield is going to be sold? He has an injury record in recent years, don’t think he made many appearances for Dartford last season.
We do need a left back having lost three, but again is he better than Pitblado or Wishart?
I am beginning to wonder if those current players on two year contracts efforts are being made for a “fire sale “ to reduce costs?
I fear Alan is having to scramble around in the bargain basement for players as we cannot afford any better. Time will tell ! Hope I am wrong!

In his interview Ben Hudson talked about getting in young players we could sell on. Don’t think these two fall into this category!

Two more signings in Jerry Wiltshire, formerly of Hayes, and Josh Williams from Whitstable Town.

Spoke to a Hayes fan and he says that he is always injured and is shocked he’s got this move.
However Josh Williams seems like a great prospect who many respected people in non league think will go pro eventually.

Josh Williams coming up from Step 5 but does appear to be highly respected by Whitstable fans

He also takes penalties! Looking ok but he will not get that space and freedom at our level.

Hope we can keep him fit! Don’t want another player who spends more time on the treatment table!

Can’t see that Wiltshire played more than a couple of games last season. If he has a bad injury record we may well find that out in pre season. Feels a bit random but may be a story we don’t know. Hope we have alternatives under consideration.
Alex Wall is not getting a good press either from supporters of Dartford. Feels like his career at this level is coming to a close. Maybe a Rob Hall type appointment where we are recruiting more for off field experience than expected regular leading the line and goals. Kristian Campbell seems to have moved around quite a bit in recent seasons, knows the level but hard to say much more about him.
Big step up from Step 5 for Josh Williams. Let’s see what he can do in pre season.

Two more signings in Archy Taylor from Westfield, and Josh Keeya from Badshot Lea. Appear to be ones for the future.

Nope, they are for now, unfortunately this is what a reduced budget of around 2k per week gets you…
