So you wouldn’t have renewed if you had known about the players leaving?
I would really hope that wasn't the case, especially from one of our longer term supporters. You don't get to pick and choose your club.

In his interview, Jordan says it was a torn ACL which needed surgery and explains the length of time out of the game. Not an easy injury to get back from so clearly some risk attaching to his signing.

Would agree an element of risk but we are not in a position to be picky. Think Jules sees him as one of the leaders in the dressing room.
Still time to sort the side out but not that long, any decent players are fixed by now.

Ben Hudson update says we have 14/15 players already done although we have only announced seven I think. Remains to be seen if any of the missing names include the contracted players. Couple more “ known names” in the pipeline to be announced next week. Interesting that Ben says we are looking for a more challenging pre season. I and others felt we were undercooked when we went into the season proper having played a. Number of step 4 sides. Apparently Mel wasn’t bothered with arranging pre season friendlies. No mention of any of the departing players. We’ve only announced Louis Fernandez so far. Strange comms strategy indeed.

Yes I too picked up the discrepancy between the announced players and Ben’s 14/15. Again I wondered is some of last season’s squad are still with us. Looks like there might be a few announcements next week.Hopefully it will be the players we know about that will interest and see the foreboding mood lifted.!

Bloomfield flatters to deceive, has all the attributes but not as effective as should be. I don't think he could have done the job Clifton did the season before in a poor team as a loan striker.

That’s one of the two I mentioned done, Torquay to announce theirs soon.

No surprise about Bloomfield returning to Farnborough. For what we were probably paying him I would say his stay with us was very underwhelming. Having said that we don’t have anything comparable on the books yet.

I would think we agreed to let him go to save money Wall signing immediately suggested he was off, his injury record was poor as it has been previously.
Doubt if Farnborough will pay him as much as we did but who knows what the financial arrangement was.

Interesting comment from Spencer about protecting the club?
