Hampton had to come from behind to seal the Gary Craig Memorial Trophy, played in memory of a great servant of Hanworth Villa. Villa took the lead in the 12th minute with a tap-in at the far post. Villa were almost gifted a second a few minutes later when Block’s deflected clearance flashed past Julian’s far post. After a few near chances, Barzey equalised in the 36th minute following a quick free kick. Four minutes later, the Beavers took the lead. Miller-Rodney got behind the Villa defence, rounded their keeper and squared the ball across to Gray to score with ease. Hampton looked comfortable during the second half and Ilic might have added to the score in the 89th minute but a defender got his body in the way.

Hampton manager, Gary McCann paid a fulsome tribute to Gary Craig at the end of the game.
