A second slog up the A12 in a fortnight, this time Needham Market away. Manager, Alan Dowson had to make a first change in the line-up for three games, Brendan Keirnan was recalled by Bromley (the perils of the loan system!). Needham’s keeper, Daniel Gay, was kept extremely busy in the opening period of the game, using all parts of his frame to good effect. The home side got going after half an hour, a Sam Newson cross-field shot only needed the barest of touches to have forced it home. Playing into the stiff breeze seemed to suit the Beavers in the second half. Casey was just wide of the mark with a 30 yarder. In the 63rd minute, Sinclair collected the ball in midfield and set Kabamba off on a gallop, Gay parried Kabamba’s strike, fortunately, Sinclair was in the right place to steer the ball into the net for his third goal in as many outings. In the 76th minute Brown brought off a flying save to prevent Harrison equalising as the Market forced corner after corner. Eventually the home side broke through seven minutes from time, when a long throw from Michael Brothers was buried from close range by Oliver Fenn.
