Eastbourne Borough (A)

We travel to 24th placed Eastbourne Borough this Saturday. The Sports, as they are nicknamed, are coming off the back of a 7-0 reverse in Torquay at the weekend and have just 1 win in 7 games. Perhaps this is the game to turn the corner, their confidence will be low. C'mon Beavers!

I bet their confidence is about the same as ours. A point wouldn't be the end of the world...

1 win in 7 is a better record than us.

You’d think they’ll really be up for putting things right after being hammered 7-0, worth bearing in mind that despite their horrendous season they are still a full time outfit.

This run must be turned around and Saturday really needs to be the day it happens. I was notified that Eastbourne haven't won a home game this season but yes I get where you're coming from Josh, saying they might be up for it after travelling to Torquay.

You can get 3/1 Hampton winning away today. Eastbourne are odds on a home win. I fancy us to win today. Dont forget the soup Big Rich

Around 3/1 on the draw too.

Interesting lineup, NPL given the armband. Former Beaver Anifowose starts for the hosts, with Pitblado on the bench.

Massey missing, NPL captain this afternoon, Fasnamade starts, Atkinson back and starting after missing on Tuesday
Thomas starting - Is he not banned?
(As far I can see in the rules the suspension for a red card will start immedieatly unless the club is appealing.)

I thought Thomas would be banned for today.
I am also trying to get my head around how the team will line-up. No centrebacks or left-backs. Fasanmade and Dixon up front?

Page 11 says suspension starts 7 days after the offence still for our level. So should miss Tuesday.

I always thought suspensions at this level took a week to come into effect, I could be wrong though. As for the lineup, I assume Thomas and Wilkie are at centre half with Sayers left back, maybe Gardner right back as that’s where he’s played in recent times.
