Dartford had won seven games on the spin and got off to a really fast start scoring in the 6th minute. Darren McQueen got into a good position and crossed for ex-Beaver Luke Wanadio to head the ball past Henry. Wanadio was causing all sorts of problems for the Beavers and it was looking like a long afternoon for them. Gradually Hampton took the game to the Darts. Ahmidi and Deadfield both shot narrowly wide. A Gray reverse pass found Orsi-Damodo who tucked the ball away for an equaliser in the 25th minute. Wassmer almost got himself sent off, but with the home fans chanting ‘off, off’ he only received a yellow. Minutes before half-time Hill surged past a defender, and from the narrowest of angles fired the ball past Alhaji Sesay for a remarkable turnaround. Dartford threatened in the second half however Hampton’s problems were eased somewhat, when Dartford’s main dangerman, Elliott Romain, was sent for a second yellow card. At the time, no one realised that the season would be brought to a premature end just five matches later.
