Federico had the first chance in the 16th minute when he had Rob Budd back-peddling to tip his shot over the bar. Just after the half-hour Kiernan chased down a long kick by Smith and hit a low cross which was turned in by the lurking Federico. In the 38th minute, Beere, chested down a VCD clearance and lashed a stunning half-volley that hit the cross bar and bounced down over the line. The Beavers were flying and it was 3-0 before the interval. Kiernan, again, was the provider with another cross across the face of the goal and it was Federico, again, who was perfectly placed to side-foot the ball home from close range. Three minutes into the second half, Hampton effectively killed the game off. Kiernan, already with two assists, was on hand to meet Casey’s corner, Budd parried the shot but Kiernan was close enough to force the ball into the net. It was Hampton’s second clean sheet in a week and ended with the Beavers top of the division. Kiernan recently returned to the Beavers
