Eric Levy, RIP

Quite a few longer term supporters will have known my Dad, Eric Levy, who died in the early hours of this morning after a succession of illnesses going back over the last 6/7 years or so. He was 82. Dad, a long term fan who started to games with me soon after I started going to the Bev in 1980, hasn't been well enough to go to any games in the last couple of years, and attended his last game in March 2024 against Chippenham, which we won 2-1. Despite this, he never stopped talking about Hampton and was always asking me or his Grandson Joe how we played, who our new signings were and how certain players were doing.
I'll put any details of funeral arrangements on here when they are known.

Hi Nick, my condolences to you and your family. I spent many a match both home and away standing next to Eric, discussing the teams shortcomings and occasional success. He was a great guy and will be much missed at Beveree.

I've just seen the clip of the Hampton fans singing my Dad's name at Weston today...to say we're all greatly touched by this is putting it mildly and it shows what a fantastic bunch Hampton people are. Joe and I are proud to be part of this fabulous community. Thanks all, that'll live long in the memory!
