Farnborough

An important match for both teams and a chance for us to wipe away the memories of last season's 8-2 defeat, one of the worst results in the club's history. The last relegation place is now boiling down to one of us, Farnborough and Chippenham. Chippenham are six points behind Farnborough but play Bath away so Farnborough will be very motivated to avoid defeat and hope that Bath get at least a point to keep the gap as wide as possible. Chippenham have only won once away from home all season and have three away games left to play. One of those is against us and we really don't want to be going into that game needing a result given our recent failures in the big "six pointers" against Enfield and Eastbourne. With our two remaining away fixtures at Ebbsfleet and Maidenhead we really must put the matter to bed by winning our home fixtures or at leat not losing. Farnborough have had a run of good results recently so I think this will be tough game where we must score first. Chippenham losing at Bath would almost certainly seal their fate but Bath haven't won in their last 14 games so the odds are long on a win.
