Brentford sent a Development Squad to start off Hampton’s pre-season friendlies. The first chance went to Casey but his shot was beaten away by Cameron Greaves, however a few minutes later Montell Moore set up Jan Holldack who beat Brown with a shot into the far corner. Moone attempted to lob the Brentford keeper but then Hampton found themselves 2-0 down. Aaron Greene collected the ball in midfield, set off on a mazy run and hammered the ball past Brown. Both teams completely changed their line-ups in the second half apart from Hampton’s keeper, Brown (even he was replaced by Pierson during the second period. Knight brought out a good save from Amadou Tangara in the 47th minute but was rewarded in the 56th minute when he forced home, at the second attempt, a cross by Federico. Hampton could have levelled the score late on but Tangara reacted well to push a Thompson effort over the bar.
