Let's shift the focus to the away game at Dagenham this Saturday.
Wouldn't have thought we're expecting that much from this game, or will we be proved wrong?
(On another note I'm also convinced we've played against them in more league games than our official preview of Saturday seems to suggest...I'm sure we went there for a midweek game a couple of decades ago or something, although maybe that was in one of the many cups we used to be in?)

We played them in the late 90s when they spent at least 1 season in the Isthmian Premier. They won the league at Beveree, winning 3-2, from memory we were 2 up and there was at least 2 sending offs as well.

Having checked the archive site can see it was 1999/2000 and we also lost 5-0 away that season. I definitely remember being at that game!

Yep that was definitely it, a 5-0 defeat. Do our current media team have any access to any sort of proper archive or do they just make stuff up??

Would be over the moon with a draw. Given we lost 3-1 there last season, I would be surprised to get anything out of this.

We first played the merged club in 98/99, losing 4-0 away, and 3-1 at home. This was our first season in the Isthmian Premier. The season after were the aforementioned 5-0 (a) and 3-2 (h) defeats, the latter seeing Dagenham finish with nine players, and securing the title that day. In addition, there was also the FA Cup game in 2007.

Over the years we did play the original Dagenham, along with all of the other clubs that subsequently merged to form D&R, with the exception of Redbridge Forest. The other clubs being Ilford, Leytonstone, Leytonstone Ilford and Walthamstow Avenue.

For supporters under 21, Dagenham are using that stupid Identisurge app so just be aware ID will be required. (App is an absolute nightmare to use btw)

I think i’d rather that than have to pay £20 for a ticket to a NLS game.

I agree but just a reminder as apparently you can't get into the ground without it. You have to buy a £2 day pass on the day to be able to get in. (Appears you also have to do the entire verification process on the day)
