I would have thought some quick, positive and brave recruitment is what's needed. That might give the side a bit of a psychological lift but as has been said above it won't be easy at this stage. Something needs to be done though because today was dreadful.

The squad is too thin, confidence is low, so heads drop quickly. Agree we need to recruit players who are experienced enough to lift the mood and turn things around. We have home games, defeats in these and Gary and his team have a very steep mountain to climb. We will not have Wassmer and Deadfield, our captain and a strong central defender plus a very constructive midfielder for another week and possibly permanently? Gary sounded in his post match interview less upbeat than I have heard before, not a good sign?

Still can't believe he turned down the chance to sign 2 players he said would've improved us.How many managers would think of the club future when they have been allowed to sign 2 better players.I wonder if that isn't helping the morale at the moment?

Comments are all fair. Manager seems understandably very down after another poor display. We either need to bring in new blood that can grab the side by the scruff of the neck or start thinking about rebuilding for next season. Getting players of the right quality at this stage of the season will not be easy. Play off hopes seem a distant fiction just now, confidence drained away since the Parkway debacle.

Charles Hagan’s loan has now ended. Not much reward for either party.

Agree not surprised at this,he made very little impact here and was often an unused substitute.
Just makes the number of options for Gary even less with all these games coming up shortly, it would not take many injuries and we will struggle to field a full bench.

And now Cole Brown leaves. Again not a big miss given lack of game time over a couple of seasons but at the moment we lack bodies, so guessing we have someone arriving fairly soon. Six players gone in just a few weeks.

Trying to work out six. Hagan, Gondoh, Cox, Brown,Daniel and ? Plus two on club suspension Wassmer and Deadfield. Hope for more than one incoming.

Is this Cole Brown’s third season here? Never looked a Conf south player. Surprise he’s been here so long.

Sorry, five not six although outcome of the Slough incident could lead to a longer term suspension or departure.

It would not surprise me if one or both of the suspended players have their contracts terminated. Both no doubt will soon be fixed up by another club. I note how quickly Gondoh was recruited by Wealdstone.
What concerns most of us is whether Gary is able to recruit at this stage of the season, the caliber of player required. We are going to need more than one to replenish a numerical depleted squad. Failure to do so and we could soon be getting concerned about being dragged into a relegation battle. Hopefully with only one relegation spot we might survive.
