Our final home game. Nothing to play for but pride against opponents whom we traditionally find difficult. They have struggled this season and had a heavy defeat last Saturday. Hope for a win. Interested who Gary selects as Ness might not be fit.
Think many of us will be thinking which players we might not see again in our colours. We all hope for several changes and please not so many loans!

Like Hungerford we owe them for putting in one of the worst performances of the season, as well as the other stuff that went on during that game.
I'm sure Alan Julian will especially want to win.

Slough bidding the midfield and we have carried no threat up front .. could easily be 3 down. need to improve massively in second half

Very poor first half. Failed to defend properly in the box again. 0-1.

Not sure anyone saw this coming after 20 mins of the second half. We could hardly string two passes together let alone mount an attempt on goal. But then a perhaps fortunate handball gave Donaldson the chance to equalise from the spot and we were suddenly transformed into a team that could play. Slough on the other hand went direct which better suited our defence. Donaldson scored a second and Leo Hamblin a late third before Barzey hit the bar when he should have made it 4. A good note to finish on in front of a record crowd for the season. Billericay were relegated and Cheshunt and Farnborough promoted.

Listened to the game while having a beer in Spain. Both commentators were very good. Well done lads a 3.1 win. Would be nice to knock over Maidstone next week.

We struggled to get into the game, apart from the first five minutes, then we looked to struggle and it was not a surprise that we went 1-0 down to an ex player in Harris. Without Ness the defence struggled, but managed to cope. Think the introduction of Gray helped and Kuhl’s influence diminished. A penalty brought us level and suddenly we were a different team. We could have had four, but a result that sends us home happy.
I don’t think the second half rally will have much bearing on Gary’s rebuilding in the summer which needs to happen. We have a strong base to the side which hopefully will remain. It will depend on the quality of recruiting that will shape a season where relegation will be much more difficult to avoid.

What a final 25 mins that was. But why haven't we played like that more??
Thanks to all the loanees we've had playing up front this season but if only we could get a proven non-league striker like Ben Harris...

A game of two halves, Saint.

Manager’s post match comments were that 8 to 10 of the current squad could be retained. A couple more than suggested before but I would think it likely he would keep the likes of Jay Hines as cover as he has shown his worth. He’d be wise not to read too much into the late comeback. We still need major surgery if we want to be more competitive next season. You could easily argue that Ness saved our season, steadied the ship and stopped it leaking soft goals. Inman thrived alongside him and was consistently our best player over the whole season. Midfield and attack however needs a big overhaul.
