Hanworth Villa were a decent side at that level but having seen them a few times last season they will definitely need to stregthen. Duncan Culley signed for them recently, if he's fit he should score a few.

They are becoming a bit like Hampton Old Boys but nothing wrong with that as they will need more experience at the higher level.

I believe he was offered terms by Hampton for the coming season, but chose to join Hanworth Villa.

It's good to see. Another reason why an official link like a feeder club would be perfect.

Re Luke Ruddick. His work committments were such that he couldn't commit to a NLS Schedule.

We seem to have hit a quiet period in our retaining/recruiting time. It might be that there is a lot going on behind the screen that needs to remain private.Lets hope for some good news soon.
In looking at Gary’s recent statement it looks like Dunne might return if he can sort out things in Ireland. McKnight has had injuries over the last few seasons so the club might be needing to ensure his fitness before signing.

Can’t say that I have heard of him before but Welling forum suggests they are unhappy to see him leave which is usually a good sign.

Yes I read that, as you say it is a good sign.

I think we are now officially up to 15 players in the squad which I guess still leaves another 4 or 5 places to fill. Looks like we are reasonably solid in defence with one question mark over who partners Inman at centre back. Fernandez and Black are relatively inexperienced at this level so will be interesting to see how they shape up in pre season. We could still do with cover for Donaldson at left back assuming Farrell is out of the picture. If we continue with Gary's seemingly preferred five in midfield then it looks like TMR, Shokunbi and Gray with Ilic and Barzey/Kurran-Browne wide and Wood at CF. With only Iontton as specialised midfield cover we still need a couple of midfielders and possibly another couple of forwards. The latter are the hardest to recruit at a sensible cost so perhaps we will look to the loan market to supplement. Scoring goals still looks like the biggest test as Wood was the only player in double figure from last season. We'll need a reasonably strong bench with additional league games this season to cover inevitable injuries and suspensions. At times last season we looked pretty thin after the first XI was picked.

Picking up on Tony’s points. It would not surprise me if Hamblin returns to cover left back.
As for the other gaps, it is beginning to look like many of the clubs in our league and the step below might have bigger budgets than us, hence recruiting the forwards and midfield players we would like is proving very difficult.
