From Julian’s comments he seemed a good influence in the dressing room. Not sure if he and Mason would be the ideal combination up front, might depend on other striking options.
From his interview it looks like this coming season could possibly be Julian’s final one, if so, Mel might be looking at some longer term planning in this area?

Would not be surprised to see Rhys Forster back in some capacity, recently won the FA Vase with Ascot and was unlucky to be loaned out by Slough when they had a change of ownership.
Also in regards to Clifton and Bloomfield not working together I saw someone mention that Bloomfield works best with someone up top with him, so it could potentially work.

Beveree master, your quote come from the Farnborough forum. To my way of thinking the earlier comment about Bloomfield and Clifton was they might work better alongside a forward playing off them. As I understand the quotation is that Bloomfield did not have close support.
From your comments it suggests that you may have an inside track to the playing side of the club?

Yeah I would imagine we would want a quick striker alongside Mason but I would not be complaining if we had Clifton next to him.
And in regards to the playing side I don’t have any insider knowledge- I wish- but I’d imagine someone like Rhys suits what Mel is after, has the capabilities to push Julian for the number 1 spot and is full of potential.

27 goals at step 3 is pretty impressive and clearly a different type of player to Bloomfield or Clifton. Could be an interesting one if he is prepared to move up this way. With quite a few West Country sides in the NLS he probably has quite a few after him.BevereeMaster wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2023 5:59 pm Ben Seymour has left Plymouth Parkway, scored 27 goals for them last season could make the step up, was with Mel at Exeter, one to keep an eye out for maybe.

Things are looking very promising with these imaginative signings. I honestly don't remember a summer like this since the Devonshire days.

Yes potentially a good signing, as folk say could complement Bloomfield well.
