With the excellent news that Luis has recommitted (I wonder what the delay was?) We now have a really competitive and exciting squad of 19 assembled. I don't believe any of our fellow NLS Clubs have done as much, as good, business yet and we should all be very pleased and excited indeed.

Have seen nothing like it..we will now have a proper pre season to build a pattern of play..normally we go into pre season with 5 players signed and all the games are trial games

Agree that it is very unusual to have most of the squad signed up so early. It will be interesting to see if we have any (many) trialists in pre season. There will still be plenty of players of decent quality still looking for clubs so I guess we might keep a couple of places open for the right deal. We could of course pick up injuries as happened last year with Fernandez who was out until November. Stuff usually happens.

Having the squad assembled early does help, do feel that (budget permitting) we might pick up a couple of players if they come available, especially when all the released players from the football league have not found a permanent new club.
Pleased with things so far but realistically until the team settles in we will not know how successful the recruitment has been.

Interesting comment by the Farnborough manager on their squad update regarding Bloomfield leaving them. Makes it sound like our wage budget could be pretty high.

Mason Bloomfield
Another lovely guy that despite only being here a few months, was a popular player. I was speaking to him positively, but couldn’t do anything when such a phenomenal offer came in from another club.

Well if we are serious about promotion it has to be.

It might be that Spencer is putting out an excuse for not retaining the player, but no doubt our budget has increased. Think we might have a pause in the recruitment until management have assessed what is available., hopefully there might be a couple of late signings before the preseason gets fully underway.

They have lost quite a few players this summer , looks like they will start recruitment.

They have also signed Sid Nelson a central defender from Woking, only 27 but has had injury issues in recent years, plus a winger Adam Mekki from Dorking.a winger.
