THOSE WERE THE DAYS
20th December 2014
Isthmian (Ryman) League Premier Division
HRBFC 1 Billericay Town 2 Att; 267
Collins

Mark Smith; Marcus Johnson-Schuster, Mark Onyemah (Ben Harris, 73), George Wells (Jerome Federico, 47), Matt Drage, James Richmond, Jake Rose, Saheed Sankoh, Tom Collins, Charlie Moone, Archy Nkumu.
Unused subs; Zaid Ouhala, Ola Williams, Ben Osman

A conceded penalty and a sending off consigned Hampton to a 2-1 defeat at home to Billericay Town. Rose hauled down Harry Baker and Richard Halle converted the penalty in the 24th minute. Just before half-time an audacious attempt by Moone almost provided Hampton with an equaliser. Moone spotting Billericay’s keeper Billy Lumley off his line, chipped the ball from near the half line, only to see it land on the roof of the net. On 56 minutes Sankoh was sent off for a second yellow card (having been also sent off in Hampton’s previous game). Billericay killed the game off in the 78th minute, Glenn Poole curling a twenty-five yard free kick around Hampton’s defensive wall, leaving Smith stranded. Collins scored a late consolation, his header appeared to be cleared but the Assistant flagged for the goal. Too late to make a difference, as the referee blew the final whistle moments after the re-start.
