HM, are you saying most OAPs don't have a current bank account. If you have a CBA then you should be able to get a bank card be it contactless or a chip and pin one!l

Do these people without CBAs keep their money under the mattress???

So they still go to to the GPO with their pension book to collect it in pound notes like in the days of yore???

If we don't get a 3G pitch at the Bev, then our dream for women's teams, more youth teams, disability team and walking football teams playing at the Bev creating a community and bringing in income seem to be disappearing - or have I missed something?

Unless Academy teams play elsewhere - which also isn't desirable - to allow a Women's team to play at the Bev on Sundays?

The Academy teams have been playing elsewhere, previous years they have been at Hanworth Villa, this season they are using Bedfont Sports for games and Hampton Rangers 3G pitch for training.

Yes you are missing something.

Richmond Council are limiting the amount of use on the pitch, so the cost of installing one would not be financially viable.
Did you watch the whole interview?

To be a proper community club Hampton need to have the facility for a women's team to play at the Beveree.

Even most of the WSL clubs don't play at their main grounds.

Not so much the council but to get the FIFA grading needed to be able to play league games on the pitch it has to be used for less than 50 hours per week.

So how does it work for Tonbridge, Hemel etc who have installed 3Gs to achieve additional revenue?

They must use it for less than 50 hours a week.

Realistically if you have 2 x First team training sessions at 2 hours plus allow for 1 game each week for the first team that would be about 8 hours (1 to 5 or 6 to 10).

That's still 40 hours at around £125 per hour available to hire out, that's the going rate for 1 full 3G pitch per hour in the area at the moment.

However you also can factor in the savings you are making for not spending cash out at a training ground as well if you wanted to use more hours for academy, women, youth teams as well. So although you may not be making money you could be saving several 000 per week by not paying out elsewhere.

Well, that was always the incentive for us, cover the loss by reducing the cost of renting elsewhere and hiring out. So if that works for other clubs, why not us?
