Outgoing being announced at 3, new signing at 4.

In Mel’s interview post Hartlepool, he mentioned that “my right back is injured” (Thomas) and “my other one is joining us now.” Could this be Revan joining permanently?

Think it might be that Revan has left at the end of his loan. Could the incoming be Dreyer on a permanent basis?
Cheadle appears to have a long term injury so this makes sense.

Yep. Confirmed Revan’s loan has finished, but a defender will be joining. See you at 4!

Why the urgency why not tell as at five instead of four. Its a silly way to announce a signing

Do top level clubs break news this way?

I very much doubt it!

So when Arsenal signed Bergkamp from Inter Milan almost thirty years ago. They teased the supporters by delaying the announcement. I'm pretty certain that's not the way the procedure was carried out!

Comparing a signing made 30 years ago to now isn't very logical. Times have moved on.
