Cites his age, not being able to commit to morning training, and the fact he has family living in Australia as factors. Big news and he will be missed for sure. Hope it is a good move for him.

As mentioned the club is planning to train mornings from next season which will possibly put paid to those with regular jobs like Donaldson and no doubt others.

Looks like some major changes in the playing staff. Perhaps this explains the Wishart situation and no doubt there will be others. There might be some players who have jobs that can be fitted round this training regime.

It will be a mistake to play next season only those who can train mornings/ full time. We will virtually have a team of youngsters released from pro clubs. Wishart is a great example. He is one of the most accomplished players at the club and was having a great season then all of a sudden he falls out of favour for young isaac pitblado who has done ok but isn’t the same level as a footballer. As others have pointed out it has been a disaster for Havant and Eastbourne to go down this route. There will be players in NLS who could probably play EFL but have better earnings having a job out of football and playing part time.

This looks like we will be fishing in an unfamiliar pool for players. There might be a few players in our league who might be tempted, plus fringe players from the National League. Mel and Paul Tisdale might have some contacts with players who have played for them or came through their development system much in the way Seymour did.

Wonder when the players found out about training in the mornings next season,as it might explain the drop off in form.Also I wonder if it's still the plan as the current owners are looking for new investers

This move has been on the cards for some time, we switched to a hybrid training system this season. If you look at the players brought in (Revan Dreyer) they have been used to full time training regime. I don’t think the fall off in results has been due to this proposed alteration, rather due to injuries, etc.
