THOSE WERE THE DAYS
14th August 2007
Football Conference South (Blue Square)

Bognor Regis Town 2 HRBFC 4 (Godfrey 2, Paris, McIntosh) Att; 312

HRBFC ;-
Matt Lovett; Graham Harper, Alex Haddow, Orlando Jeffrey, Rob Paris, Dean Wells, Stuart Lakie (Alan Inns, 72’), Elliott Godfrey (Ryan Lake, 85’), Lawrence Yaku, Barrie Matthews, Kelvin McIntosh (Marcello Fernandes, 74’).
Unused Subs; Elliott Frost, Aaron Barnett.

Godfrey fired the Beavers to their first ever Blue Square South win with a brilliant brace at Bognor Regis, scoring the first and last games in a six-goal thriller. Godfrey opened the scoring in the 14th minute when he latched on to a Stuart Lake through ball and rounded the home keeper. A minute later it was all-square again when Dan Beck headed in a cross from the right. Paris headed Hampton back in front in the 34th minute, and then McIntosh drove home from distance to put the visitors 3-1 up at the half. With 30 minutes left, Paris scored again, but this time in his own net. Godfrey made sure of the win in the 85th minute, chipping the ball in from a tight angle.
