The victory over East Thurrock was Hampton’s eighth win on the trot (ten, if you include two cup wins). It took only three minutes for Hampton to get on the scoresheet, Wassmer rifling in a half-volley. Several more chances came the way of the home side before Coombes collected a long ball in the 30th minute, 2-0. Coombes struck again twelve minutes later, latching on to another long ball, he got away from centre-back Burns, before rounding their keeper, Lukas Lidakevicius. Hampton were not finished yet, as the fourth goal went in just before half-time. Jolley set Keirnan on his way, skipping past Marvin Ekpetia, and he placed the ball in the bottom right corner. The match, as a contest was over at the interval with the Beavers four to the good. Credit to the visitors though, as they did get themselves back into the game, Tom Richardson beating Howes from the edge of the box. Shortly after, Sam Higgins saw red after picking up a second yellow card. Hampton pushed forward again, and in the 83rd minute, Coombes sent over a brilliant cross, Lidakevicius missed the ball and all Kiernan had to do was to walk the ball into the net.
