Could this be because the future intention is to play such games on the 'new' top pitch and that won't be ready in time ?

New Chairman's update gives the rationale on the pitch. Interesting that the hybrid option was ruled out so that there are no limitations on use. Seems to suggest that over time the club will want as much activity as possible on the new surface.

New interview out on the YouTube channel with Ben. Calls it a pause rather than a stop. Sounds like the plan is to bring it back in a few years when the infrastructure is there to run it.

As noted above, the owner update included that "the current changes will transition Beveree Stadium from a matchday venue to a campus that is available to a co-educational academy, local youth teams, local schools and community groups". So perhaps it is going to be relaunched in a different form ...

Perhaps season ticket announcements are delayed because we don't know where will be playing early season games.

Seems that the temporary permission for the media tower (23/3163/FUL) expires on 12/07/2027 so perhaps a job for the end of next season unless it is being addressed as part of these works.
