Re: New Manager

Looking back on our history another situation when we promoted internally with Harper /Barry who got sacked and Dowse rode in to rescue! I hope history does not repeat itself.

Another one! Might be connected to the revised training schedule.? Lost track of how many have gone.
He has a couple of admirers at Slough?

Alan’s recruitment and retention task just grows.

Re: New Manager

Interesting question Roger , nothing said, would think it likely they may have gone? It is looking like a very much streamlined overhead which is not a bad thing as it was so bloated last season and a reason why some much cash was spent . As for Steve Bates, perhaps returning to academy? Wonder abou...

Re: Meet The Owners

Check other topic, think some have already departed. Certainly some off the Board.

Re: More Changes?

One would assume that the ambition for next season is now just to stay in the division and avoid relegation.

Think we need to wait to see the squad that has been assembled. What has been said and reality might be different!

Re: New Manager

Would agree with Lord E , I was hoping for one experienced person to help. It might be that finances dictated these appointments. One thing is certain this management team are a lot cheaper that their predecessors! Hope these savings might help the playing budget!

Re: New Manager

We can only go so far on sentiment and enthusiasm but let’s see what signings we can bring in which might tell us about budget and contacts. When Dowse left, Gary McCann could at least call upon a number of players from his old club. The current situation is looking more akin to when Ian McDonald t...

Re: New Manager

Just watched his interview. He knows the club which is a plus. Thought he had a building firm, if so, then will that cease? One question is are we going over to morning training or still the hybrid system? My initial reaction is that they have little experience at this level as coaches. Time will te...

Re: Fastest growing club in London!

That’s great to know it is good publicity.

Agree could be about an effort for new investment but that will need more substantial and professional facts and information before financial commitments.

What happens to this if results are poor?

Re: More Changes?

I got an impression that the brothers were happy with Phil, certain folk on the new board may have been perceived by then as antagonistic towards them and were excluded.
As has been stated the brothers still have the control and thus the final say in the composition of the board.

Re: New Manager

Welcome Donovan. Just listened to his interview, seems most of his background is in youth work which seems the way the club is going. Whether this proves successful next season remains to be seen. In his interview Alan suggested two coaches one with experience in our league and one from below, do we...
