Pity there are only two at home but a few quite local aways. Should allow quite a few trialists to be tested. With such a new side we’ll need as much game time as possible to gel.

Good point Tony, yes the aways are fairly local. Might not even need the club car for a few.

The first game is on 9/7. Presumably training will have started a couple of weeks previously? Might need more players as we cannot currently field a team! Will it be signings or trialists?
Might get news soon?

Worth noting that our Friendly against Ashford Town is to be played at Hendon FC. 3PM KO. https://x.com/ashfordtownmx/status/1809 ... 6xwWQ&s=19

First PSF away at Beaconsfield tomorrow. Beaconsfield were relegated to Step 4 last season and have had a change of manager, experienced Garry Haylock taking over. We have "lost" 20 players since last season and retained only 4. it would be wrong to draw many conclusions from such a game but interesting to see some of the new squad for the first time and any possible trialists who may appear.

As pointed out we have practically no experience of the current squad so it will be interesting to see the new players in action plus any trialists.
In my opinion we need more players as the squad numbers are down , plus several of the signings have injury records.
Let’s hope for good news soon.

Some good news of new players needed soon rather than later. Would be unfortunate to start the league season not having allowed our new players to get acquainted with their team mates. Seems Hampton often start the season with players injured, unfit or in need of playing time. We don't need that especially at the beginning of this season!

Some clubs in our league have already played their first friendly and it is noticeable how many trialists that are used. It is not inconceivable that some of these and others will do the rounds before opting for the best offer.. Not all these trialists are players from lower leagues so let’s hope Jules has a few contracts to bring in what is required.
These games are about getting players to gel as a unit and whilst the result is not material, a good result against a lower ranked team is a good indication of progress.
A better understanding of the club’s prospects might be clearer as the preseason develops.

Some of us will not make the game this evening. It will be very helpful to know the lineup and changes during the game. A report would also be most welcome. Thanks in advance!

Beaconsfield lost their first PSF 5-0 toBedford Town. Like us they are completely rebuilding their side.

Beaconsfield are now at step 4 and such a result could have been expected as Bedford are step 3 . Whilst it is very early days one would hope that a similar emphatic result could be on the cards as we are step 2.
It might not follow this logic so early on, but it will give us an indication of where our recruitment has achieved thus far.
