Hampton were fortunate not to concede a goal early on when Montell More’s long range effort appeared to cross the line but Stojsavljevic managed to clear the ball away to safety. Hustwick cleared a shot from Christian Lagos in the 3rd minute, in the 39th minute, Hampton took the lead when Harris shot past Bees’ keeper, Mark Smith. However, almost immediately Brentford equalised when Lagos side-footed the ball home. The second half saw the usual mass substitutions by both sides. Moone and Zain Westbrooke both tested their respective keepers, and with 15 minutes to go Moone set up a chance for Chendlik, but his shot went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute Brentford had the chance to take the win but substitute keeper, Tobin, brought off a great save to deny Niall Doran.

Some interesting names in the Brentford lineup with some players going on to careers in the Football League.
A certain Mark Smith played fo both teams.
Remember the game well.
