Former Beaver, Ashley Sestanovich captained a young Sheffield United side – part of the deal following his move to the ‘Blades’. Sestanovich went close for the visitors with a free-kick. United’s keeper, Ben Scott, denied Channell before Jeffrey scored in the 16th minute, crashing home a shot from a corner. On the half hour, Billy Sharp brought out a full-length save from Massoud. Late in the first half a combination of Kelly and Jeffrey robbed Sestanovich, the ball ran kindly to Gardner who guided the ball wide of Scott. Early in the second half Sharp missed narrowly with a snap shot and then Massoud beat away a fierce shot from Kevin Hurst. O’Conner hit the upright, Allen hit the crossbar as Hampton saw out a 2-0 win over the young professionals.

Couple of interesting names in the Sheffield line up Sharp went on to have a long career and scored plenty of goals.

Unfortunately I don't have one, the only names I have for sure were the ones in the press report. There is a squad list in the match programme, but no guarantee who was there on the night....Jamie wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 8:50 amWhere is the Sheffield United lineup?Shepperton Supporter wrote: Wed Jul 24, 2024 10:49 am Couple of interesting names in the Sheffield line up Sharp went on to have a long career and scored plenty of goals.
