Very sad news of the passing of another Spartan & Athenian League great. Also spent many seasons at old rivals Staines.

Very sad , remember Arthur he played in a very great team in those mid 60s seasons. As has been said, he spent time at Staines after he left us. His son Martin played for Brentford and QPR.

Father of Martin who gave great service to Brentford & QPR and who won a handful of Republic of Ireland caps too of course.

There's a tribute to Arthur and some historical bits and pieces in tomorrow's matchday programme.
