Great win. Did the gaffer have another touchline ban ? Seemed to be in the stand throughout the game.
Another very encouraging performance. Hemel are in terrible form but you would not have guessed that from a close first half. Their Achilles heal became apparent as our first three goals all came from defensive mistakes as we pressed high up the pitch. Williams took his chance very cooly, Roberts first goal came from almost an identical move but needed a second bite after the keeper blocked the first effort. Vilhete latched onto a long clearance as the defender and keeper got in a muddle and rounded King and then fired home. King made three top notch saves to prevent further goals before another move involving Hunt, Williams and Vilhete set up Roberts for his second. We defended well when needed. All round top performance across all departments. No Keeya or French today. Hagen and O’Keefe made late appearances but by then the game was long over. Vilhete at centre forward caused them major problems all afternoon.

Thanks for the report Tony. Sounds like a comprehensive victory.
Great post match interview with Hemel manager Bobby Wilkinson who says he’s not going to make any excuses for the defeat or single out any players and then spends 10 minutes doing just that. At one point he says it’s the worst run of games he’s ever had as a manager then immediately says he’s had worse. Obviously under a lot of pressure and the chairman is not known for his patience when it comes to underperforming managers.
“I don’t want to be like every other manager and speak for 8, 9, 10 minutes..” He spoke for 10 mins.Tony wrote: Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:41 pm Great post match interview with Hemel manager Bobby Wilkinson who says he’s not going to make any excuses for the defeat or single out any players and then spends 10 minutes doing just that. Quite a contrast to Jules who rarely speaks for more than a couple of minutes!
In the interview Wilkinson said "I have won lots of things"..fair enough he got Bracknell and Hungerford promoted but that is going back in time. At this level he hasn't done anything. I know a few Wealdstone supporters who were very critical of his time there especially as they say he spent a lot of money. They think he is all bluster and thats what came across in that interview. it was awful.

Just seen the highlights and probably three of the goals were down to mistakes by HH, but you still have to capitalise on them.
