Yes a good win against a team that did not look relegation material. The weather conditions made things difficult for both teams. They attacked the far end in the first half and many through balls just ran out of play. We got a penalty but their giant keeper on loan from Spurs pulled of a good save . Perhaps with hindsight a shot lowers might have been better?
There must be something in the half time tea as we came out and looked much better, our shorter passing game kept attacks on the pitch. First Campbell with a shot that might have deceived the keeper followed by an excellent shot from Atkinson to double the score. Their keeper made several notable saves, a tip over from Gray just after we had opened the scoring was probably the highlight. Curd on contrast had much less to do and spent a lot of time setting up our passing game. Keeya replace Hunt during the second half and looked ok.
Another win and a clean sheet what more can you ask!
Aveley Home Saturday.

Good win today. And isn't some of the football Jules is getting us playing so much better than last season under Mel "tactical football league coaching genius" Gwynett??

A very poor first half, not helped by the weather, with the only real chance the penalty miss from Roberts, which although it was well saved, was at a nice height for the enormous Aveley keeper.
So many times crosses from both sides went straight out of play, by the swirling wind.
If anything the wind and rain increased in the second half, but it was Hampton who coped with the conditions the better.
A great strike from Kristian Campbell, which totally confused the Aveley keeper, who must have thought it was going wide, and it ended up going in off the far post, and an even better one from Mike Atkinson settled the match.
Aveley never really threatened the Hampton goal, and I can't remember a serious chance on goal that they had.
