Anyone agree with me that the centre midfield pairing of Mike Atkinson and George Hunt is the strongest we have had for 10yrs (at least). Both can tackle, get around the pitch, are good on the ball, play on the front front and are deceptively creative. The only players i can think of in recent years who could dislodge one of them are Craig Dundass who won every header and every tackle and Shandon Baptiste and Dan Sweeney when they were on loan. I think both are a big upgrade on the likes of Deadfield and Miller Rodney who have been our mainstay midfielders in recent years.

Personally I think that midfield composition is about balance. Currently Gray and Williams out wide with Atkinson and Hunt seems to be working. Keeya offers something different and that still leaves our latest recruit Page and Sorondo.
It’s a long season so each one has a part to play, the respective strengths of the opponent will dictate the make up of the team . Personally I would always play Atkinson in the central midfield but who plays alongside him wil depend on the factors already mentioned.

Certainly great options in centre mid. Atkinson has been outstanding lately and is automatic first choice but not much between the others. Only thing is that there are not so far a lot of goals from that group. That’s maybe why Page has been brought in.

Ref new signing Page. Some background information, seems to have been unlucky with injuries in recent seasons.

Certainly a lot of competition for places in central midfield. Atkinson has been the standout for me and Keeya always looks comfortable on the ball.
