Bath City Home Saturday.
That's true - will be significantly less revenue for the club than a crowd of 722 full price adults...Josh2002 wrote: Sun Apr 06, 2025 12:33 am There was a lot of kids there, as there has been at the last few games so that will boost the figure.

Not sure what Alan was watching first half but it was not great!
First goal was a horror show, Allen could have played forward but chose to passs back to Atkinson who in turn went back to Merrick!
5 at the back does not work for this current squad.
Alan mentions Bath made 2 subs at half time and they were winning 2-0 we made none, some naivety from our dug out as no changes made. Then we continue to play the same, that should have been mixed up at half time, subs where made to late when morale was already at a low in the game when it went 3-0.
Winning ugly is what is required right now and forget about the possession based game we are trying to play which is now not hurting teams as we have been well and truly sussed out.
Several of that starting 11 yesterday were already on the beach imo a serious lack of effort.

"What many people won't know is that we collaborated with students from St Mary’s University, Twickenham to promote the campaign as part of their Sports Management course and provided them with the challenge of helping the club drive awareness and footfall for the day. Given it was the clubs second largest attendance of the season I'd say they did a pretty good job!
We now have insights in to how to promote games in the future, what brings people to non-league football matches and what people think of the match day experience all thank to the St Mary’s University, Twickenham students."
Sounds like a collaboration that should continue.

Agree sounds like a good move. The problem with Will left who at the club will be able to promote and organise future events?
The need to maximise revenue streams through this type of arrangement plus advertising etc is vital to help with the more traditional revenue streams.
In the current uncertainty this makes the tasks even more difficult.

No defending that. Everything we did well at Worthing was non-existent yesterday. Changed to a 3 at the back. Didn't work. A team low on confidence needs to settle into a game and build, but we concede an admittedly unlucky goal less than 4 minutes in. Diamond Edwards takes far too many touches for the 2nd and we lose it high up allowing them to cross. 3rd we don't defend well, 4th is directly from a set-piece, and 5th is a very very good strike to be fair to him. Any team cannot concede 5 at home, that is unacceptable, even more so when you consider bath were the lowest scorers in the league. Out of steam, and well out of our depth, and maybe even on the beach. Dorking will tear us to shreads on good Friday. Hopefully we win next Saturday to make the last 3 games officially meaningless.
The Non-League paper reviewer says we are nervously looking over our shoulders. Very true. Even though we are in 18th, with salisbury and enfield below us outside of the drop zone, I believe that we are the ones to catch. 722 attendance with loads of kids, most of which very young and being particularly unpleasant to the bath supporters, when they got given a drum, and stood at the wrong end just to swear at them.
Bath a friendly club, and I'm still sure we will see them next season, but at this rate, only just. Saturday a must-win.

I meant to mention this myself yesterday. It was really unpleasant to witness and the couple of stewards nearby should have stepped in. We are not a club that's known for that, so let's hope it stays that way.HamptonLifer5 wrote: Sun Apr 06, 2025 8:11 pm
