Not always the most universally popular player at the club (amongst supporters) from what I remember, but there was a time when he was being mentioned alongside Ryan Hill in terms of making a step up to a higher division.

Is he better than Keeya or Hunt #doubtExRef wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 1:55 pm We’ll probably see Ryan Hill back at the Bev with the “Daggers” next season, but I think we all would have preferred to retain Gray rather than have Deadfield back!

Is he better than Page is a fairer comparison.

Following which, Wassamer was asked/told to leave/ was released, and soon after that Deadfield decided he'd rather be at Dulwich.ExRef wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 2:56 pm My only memory of Deadfield is that dugout “punch up” with Charlie Wassemer!
Eddie Simon heading to Tonbridge Angels?Tony wrote: Thu May 29, 2025 4:07 pm Interesting. I certainly thought Flaherty was playing below his capability at Ks, was pretty good at Walton & Hersham. Eddie Simon moving up is going to be interesting as I know we asked about him when he was rattling in the goals at W&H but at that time he expressed no interest of going higher ( he's a dentist by profession). The goals dried up a bit at Step 3 with W&H. He's 28 so quite late to be going up now. Parkinson I don't know but is still only 18 so a big step up for him. A defender/midfielder apparently.
Well we definitely won’t be seeing Page, he’s signed for Walton and Hersham.TW10 wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 5:18 pm Page v Deadfield don't make me laugh..neither are good NLS level, don't have the athleticism..hope neither wear the shirt next season

I can see Sam Deadfield is going back and fourth with fans on X, not a great way to start re building a rapport with the fans
