That's the Hampton way...

Looks like he tore his meniscus mid season and did not play again.
That's still a fairly serious injury, even it isn't anywhere near as much of a scare as it often used to be. I just hope we have arrangements with these type of players where we aren't committed to paying them week in, week out if they have a recurrence of the same injury, especially when we knew about it beforehand. I'd include the guy from Woking in this bracket...

Lewes forum comments on Allsopp a bit mixed.

Today's mystery signing is backed on instagram by the Leader of the Pack by the Shangri-las so guessing this might be someone lined up for club captain? Will we all fall for the leader of the pack? If he comes from the wrong side of town, will he be able to get to training on time?

Well it's no doubt going to be another shuffle from someone else's pack... (calling upon all my long and distinguished football experience, including Surrey 5 a Side Runners Up medal, 1981, Kingston Borough Youth League Champions Medal, 1982, , Spelthorne Schools League Wooden Spoon 1983 I'll have you know!!) my highly scientifically designed criteria checklist would be:

Has he played at least two seasons at National League South level?

Has he been (major) injury free for at least two seasons?

Has he been relatively settled at his last club?

If a striker, has he scored at least 15 goals a season?

Not that I ask for that much...😅

Let's just hope he's not on the comeback from a really bad motorcycle crash.

Alan Massey joins from Maidenhead, where he made 384 appearances.

Decent signing if he's still got it.
