I guess it’s mainly a cheap option so our actual keeper has someone to train with, other than the GK coach, and in case of last minute unavailability. Would imagine if Holden was going to be out for a long period the loan market might be used. I say this having not seen him play as was not at the Farnborough game he played.Tony wrote: Fri Jun 27, 2025 3:42 pm Really not sure what the point of signing Ziger is. We wouldn’t play him when the first choice was unavailable and when we did, put him behind a defence with only one recognised defender conceding a record number of goals. Must be better for him to be out playing regularly somewhere.

Off topic, but could you check your private messages on here Tony? I have sent you a query.Tony wrote: Fri Jun 27, 2025 3:42 pm Really not sure what the point of signing Ziger is. Yes, decent move for him I suppose, can't stand in his way and all that.
Our Comms are really excelling themselves today aren't they.

Im usually quite understanding about our social media due to it being ran by volunteers etc but not even saying a goodbye/thank you to some of these players leaving is a disgrace, especially with the likes of Jake Gray.

It's tricky isn't it...in the case of Gray, much more should have been made of it. But for all the others, surely we could have had a "Player X has decided not to return to the Bev but instead will be taking up an offer elsewhere. We thank them for their efforts wish them all the best for the future" An announcement like this, especially for someone who only joined us last summer, is really is all that's needed.

Agreed, small things like that can sometimes go a long way in non league. In how players recommend the club etc
