Very sad to hear this news. Sending thoughts to Val and all his family and friends. His insight on the history of the club, knowledge of non-league footy and clear passion for the Beavers was always a joy to be around. Rest in peace Martin.

Very sad to read this news. Thoughts and prayers are with Val and family. The club has lost one of its longest serving fans. I enjoyed stopping for a chat with Martyn before the game or at the halfway line, where he would happily discuss all things football and as you can see from his forum contributions alone, he took a very active interest in everything and anything club related - a huge loss.

Thanks Josh for liaising with family and updating us.

The news we didn’t want to hear. I loved having a chat with Martyn anytime and before the game where he would come to the club shop to grab his programme at every home game. One of the longest serving supporters of our club and he will be sorely missed by so many. All my thoughts and prayers are with Val and family. Xx

Yes, very sad news about Martyn. Will miss our pre-match chats in the car park or in his “prime” position near the halfway line.

Recieved from Les and Lesley this morning who are currently away so only sporadic internet access.

Little did we know that at the end of the last home game, when we said our goodbyes that it would be the last time we would see Martyn. Our thoughts are with Val and the family.

Would there be a case for a memorial plaque for Martyn along the front of the main stand from where he viewed matches. Be happy to contribute.

Thank you for sharing that link Josh. Sadly I couldn't make it but I've just watched the video and it was such a beautiful service! Again, thank you for sharing the link and thank you to all of the contributors who made a tribute to Martyn at the service, it was lovely. x
