On a warm, pleasant evening, the opening period saw an even exchange of chances, Wanadio looping a header just wide, whilst Stojasvljevic saved a James Loveridge effort at his near post. Swansea took the lead just before half time when Henry James scored from a direct free kick. Four minutes into the second half, Alex Samuel was bundled over in the area, getting up he then converted the penalty kick. Again, both sides traded efforts on goal, Brewer, for the Beavers, and, Loveridge for the visitors. With five minutes left to go, Harris sped after a long ball into the penalty area and was brought down by Swansea’s keeper, David Cornell. Taking the penalty, Harris, sent Cornell the wrong way for a consolation goal.
