Has there ever been any thought about making the matchday programme available online via a subscription ?

Haven't really considered it. Immediate concern with releasing any e-version is people printing their own and selling without permission (happens a fair bit on ebay), but I'm sure there is software that can protect against that.

I am personally resistant to putting programmes online as see it as a stepping stone towards removing physical programmes, but lets explore. Is there a market for it? How much would you pay to subscribe for a season?

It will be great to see him actually on then pitch at last. Could be our most important player this year if he gets back to full fitness. Let's hope so. Guessing he could be on the bench to start with.

Hadn't thought of those issues. Some cubs actually seem to make electronic programmes available for free but I guess they have abandoned the physical version and don't generate any funds from them at all. Where a physical programme is produced, I suspect the market for also having it online is limited to those who cannot attend a game, support from afar or just prefer that format (perhaps to read on the way to the game).

FT: 4-2, made to work for it but we got the job done.

I thought the score flattered us today. We made heavy weather of it going behind after a good start following some poor defending giving away a freekick which was twice saved before the rebound was forced home. We came straight back into it when Grego-Cox lobbed a cushioned volley over the keeper from Deadfield’s long pass. But Croydon who looked lively throughout, went back in front with a long range effort from Daniel. 1-2 at HT. I felt we sat too deep and midfield and front line were too far apart. Second half was going nowhere slowly until a triple substitution injected some greater urgency into the Beavers. Deadfield equalised with a low shot from the edge of the box that found the corner. Sub Fasanmade then bundled a low cross across the line for 3-2 to give us the lead. To their credit Croydon injected some greater urgency into their game and Holden became the busier of the two keepers with our defence looking rather ragged. An equaliser looked more likely until Silva fired home a fourth after another Deadfield assist. Rohan Ince made a late cameo in added time for his first appearance.

Can't really add more than echo what Tony has already said. We made very hard work of that, against a spirited but fairly limited Croydon Ath side who tried to be a bit over robust at times. Always thought we had a lot more quality than them but didn't always show it.

Curious game that one. Like Tony said, for long stretches there was this massive gap in midfield. We seemed a little obsessed with putting pressure on their centre backs with long balls. And down the channels. Worked sometimes, I suppose, but seemed to lead to those large gaps in the middle. Not a fan of giving up the centre of midfield like that, often means that the opposition make use of it and boss it.

Anyway, thought Sam Deadfield had a good game today. Not always been a fan, probably because of memories of the Gwynnet year, when he and Shane Dunne would sit back and watch the game go by, though that probably had something to do with Mel's style. Thought he dragged us through today's win very well. Was it me, or did Harry look very annoyed at being substituted?
