Had a feeling it would be him.I was hoping for an updated and coming manager not someone who quit straight after our play off final defeat and joined Woking a few days later. He has also flopped there,Dartford and Hemel Hempstead since!

Great Guy. Great Manager. Match made in heaven for the football club.

I wouldn't say flopped. He took Woking out of the NLS at the first attempt plus got them to an FA Cup 3rd Round tie against Watford. Dartford he got to the play-offs then was sacked when they were mid-table in November, Dartford were relegated at the end of that season remember. Hemel he wasn't there for any great deal of time, and only as interim, before Bobby Wilkinson took the job and was then also gone within 6 months.

What we have got is someone experienced at Step 2 who can also be involved in the community aspect and will work to bring in additional funds. Obviously that is no guarantee of success but, for me, having someone with a good contact book who knows the levels is a positive step.

Can’t say I was expecting that but welcome back Dowse. I know a lot of fans will have wanted a new face in the dug out. If we don’t get out of our tailspin soonish then pressure will build again on the board.

Surprising it’s not just until the end of the season to begin with. HM will be furious.

If the remit was experienced NLS manger then he’d meet the criteria. Obviously has a history with us so some of our judgements can be clouded. I guess if you replace his stint with us with him doing that with another team then I’d guess you couldn’t argue on his credentials.

Very happy. A great guy, and a man who knows the club and league inside out. HM might have a heart attack!
