Saturday's programme from the postponed Chesham fixture contained an update on the Academy Under 18s side. I've reproduced it below as it's time sensitive. The lads are scheduled to visit Northwood this Wednesday evening, obviously this is weather dependent, I will post on here as soon as I know whether it's on or off.

------------

The Under 18s side (one of three Academy sides being fielded this season) have made a good start to the league campaign and have two exciting cup runs going on.

League Cup
The young Beavers will travel to Northwood this Wednesday (7 Jan, 7.45pm) for an Isthmian Youth League Cup, Quarter Final fixture. Northwood of course top the table in Hampton’s division so this is no easy task. To reach this round, Hampton beat Ascot United (6-0, 28 October) in the second round and Haywards Heath Town (12-1, 24 November) in the third round. Wednesday’s match takes place at Northwood FC’s Chestnut Avenue ground (HA6 1HR), any support would be much appreciated.

County Cup
In the Middlesex Senior Youth Cup the lads have already gone one step further, qualifying for the Semi-Final. Hampton overcame PFC Victoria (7-1, 4 November) in the second round and then Uxbridge (5-2, 17 November) in the third round and have been handed a local derby in the Semi-Final - a trip to
Hanworth Villa on 27 January, details to follow.

League
In the league Hampton have played just three fixtures, less than everyone else, but their solid start with two wins under their belts already sees them in third position in the table. The next league fixture is a home tie against Badshot Lea on Monday, 12 January, 7.30pm kick-off at Bedfont Sports Club. Any support
you can give the boys would be much appreciated.

Player News
In terms of the playing squad, Archie McKenna and Jack Griffin have been featuring for Spelthorne Sports’ senior team. Archie received Man of the Match
in their win over Spartans Youth on 27 December and Jack has also been exceptional for Myles Hook’s side. Meanwhile Finn McGreevy, having signed
first team forms at Hampton, has been loaned out to Egham Town of the Isthmian League, South Central Division.

Unsurprisingly, tonight's Under 18s game at Northwood is off.
