Also thought Harry Thomas was good today. Him at left centre back and Eduino Vaz outside him can really cause problems.

We weren't bad today, and Hornchurch weren't amazing, but they were pretty solid and looked like pulling off a pretty textbook away win. Two goals from three chances that I can really remember. But what a superb finish to the game, and once we'd scored one the momentum with the side made it feel almost inevitable that a second was coming.

When it rains like that and pushes all the supporters in under the cover behind the goal it makes for a really superb atmosphere as well.

Didn't think we would get anything out of the game (or really deserved to) but very happy with the point.

I don't really understand what we are trying to do when we have the ball. Too often we lose possession because of poor or no options to pass. Far too often we are looking to cross the ball with no real prospect of anyone getting on the end of it. There seems to be no change of approach depending on the game situation. The exact opposite of Jules who perhaps changed things too much during games.

Would endorse east terracer, a fantastic point and well done to the players for keeping going but let's not kid ourselves that we were very lucky to come away with a draw. We do hit too many aimless crosses high into the box when we have a diminutive forward line, we do punt it long from the back straight down the throats of massive centre half's and when we do have good possession in the midfield we often take the easy option and play back when that is exactly the time when we should be getting Fasenmade in behind. As a. consequence we are creating few real chances. Still we are giving ourselves a chance of staying up by battling hard. But we need more purpose to our play, battling qualities can only take you so far when the luck runs out.

Credit to Max in his interview who calls out the 'wrong type of crosses'.

I'm sure there is enough experience on the coaching team to know why we are not creating better chances but the one thing that stood out for me yesterday was Hornchurch's two goals, from defence to attack in seconds. Yes, a bit long ball but very effective seeing that we were committed up field and then winning the one on one battles. In contrast our build up was slow and deliberate. The front men didn't drag the CBs out of position and we couldn't get in behind them on the flanks. Crosses were meat and drink to their defenders. Midfield didn't get forward quickly enough to pick up the loose ball off the defence. I thought we pressed much better as a team against Worthing but less confident to do so on Saturday.
