Two players have been released in the NLS due to breaches of contract and playing for baller league.

If we are comfortable with players playing in that “competition “ then two very good players are up from grabs that would improve us tenfold.

Not sure what happened because when Dover resigned Mampolo they referenced him winning baller league player of the season in his biography

It appears not as we released Eddie Allsopp earlier in the season.

It’s a contract. Clubs don’t want their players risking injury in another competition for obvious reasons. At the very least players should ask permission to play but if the club says no then that’s the end of it.

We had a team in baller league a mere 2-3 weeks ago.

I don't like players doing Baller League when they're in Step 2 or Step 1, it doesn't seem compatible. Without getting onto what a rubbish 'product' it is anyway. While it's true that a lot of players will be breaching their contracts weekly, playing Goals with their mates etc,, the difference in breaching the contract quietly, privately in that way, versus breaching it live on Sky, puts clubs in a very difficult position, especially when players are playing on the day that their club has a match (as happened with us last season), or when they were meant to be travelling to an away match with the squad (as happened with Wealdstone).

The cynic in me also thinks that for someone like Dover, who have nothing left to really play for, it's a nice convenient way to cut costs before the end of the season.

The players in Baller League breach the standard player contract template most clubs use from the National League.
Although it doesn't specify Baller League it covers all other football.
What would be interesting is if Baller League is actually FA affiliated or not, as when I worked for Powerleague and Leisure Leagues there was clear legislation by the FA.
At Powerleague every team was registered with the FA and player records kept, it covers insurance and all manner of things.
If a player got injured in Baller League and it isn't FA affiliated, they are in a really bad position

Enfield were 2-0 up at home to Chesham but are now 4-2 down after conceding 4 in 20 mins.
Still 20 mins to go but will be a nice result for the Beavers if it stays as is.

Desperarely out of form Bath also look to be heading for defeat.
