Finished 1-1 after a good work out for both sides. In the first half we lined up: Nash GK, De Haviland, Jackson and Ince CBs, Sodje, Atkinson, Widdrington, Mullins and Rai MF, Max K and RGC Forwards. We looked pretty good pressing high up the pitch and largely controlling the game. Good performances all round with Mullins, Ince and Widdrington the pick and RGC getting a couple of good opportunities hitting the post with a header and forcing a good save. Trialist Rai started sloppily but improved as the half went on. Did he do enough? Chertsey also hit the post from a header from a well flighted free kick. RGC scored in stoppage time from quick breakaway rounding the keeper but there did look to be a foul in the build up which the ref ignored. Some good passages of play and you can see the players are getting a better understanding of each others' game. Ince at CB may still be an experiment but what he does give you is good distribution into midfield. Widdrington is the quaterback and I think on the evidence of this afternoon will be better paired with Fonguck as he and Atkinson are quite similar.

Second half quite a few changes and we looked a bit less of a team more a group of individuals. Two new trialists up front who looked quite experienced, one a target man and the other who played off him. I guess someone knows who they were but I didn't recognise them. Chertsey had a bit more the game and equalised from through ball poked just over the line before being cleared. The whole squad played some part today so no obvious injury worries. In all a positive afternoon. I suspect probably eight players are certain starters for the first league game but still time to make signings!

I wasn’t able to make it today but it sounds like Mullins keeps impressing this pre season which is good to hear.

Could the target man be Hawkins ex Barnet and Hemel?-

I don't think Fernandez got any minutes today unless I missed that - hopefully no injury concern there.

I don’t think so.

Fernandez came on second half but then went off. Didnt notice if he was injured.

Hawkins is 6ft 6 so quite easy to spot.
