He used to play against Hampton for Gravesend & Northfleet before going pro, so were there questions relating to that?

I don't think there was any mention of his connection to the club. Looks like he lives somewhere around Kingston so is reasonably local - maybe it's just that.

Given his drunken antics causing him to be banned from Sunningdale, I wonder if the brothers would consider him a slob ?
