Torquay's highlights now up:

Looked like a tremendous battling performance from the Beavers and a stellar show from Max - needless to say he was in The Non-League Paper's NLS team of the day.
The fact he was wearing borrowed Torquay kit must have been even more galling fot Gulls' supporters!

The highlights showed what a ‘backs to the wall’ performance it was. Their manager said they played very well. Merrick showed himself to be potentially a very fine keeper and showed how good the standard is at Premier league clubs even in their academy teams.
Our defence played well and Jules praised Byrd for his defence in a full debut. Certainly the defence is currently our best which should not detract from Taylor who has improved immensely this season.
Vilhete has been the surprise packet this season with some excellent goals.

Excellent “fan’s review” of the Torquay win by Casey Jones on the Club website. Good read.

Thanks for posting this - just went and read it on my lunch break. What a good account of an excellent away day.

Not unlike our game v Chesham, just couldn't get the ball in the net and some great defending.

I posed this question to a few people at the game last night, but was the crowd of 4,450 the biggest we have ever played in front of? Last season’s game at Yeovil was 3,388 and i can’t think of any other games? Can anyone confirm this?

I was thinking maybe Wimbledon away but they were not even 4000 when I looked one up. First time in front of 4000+ since Maidstone away in May 2022.

Great question - I have no idea of the answer, but it's a great question.
