We brought Chick Botley back once and that didn't work out well. Sometimes you should never go back.

What options does the chairman have if we make a change? Any obvious strong candidates out there not in a job who would want to come into a crisis? Any formal process would need a couple of weeks or so, so an interim appointment could be an option and Dowse's name will come up, although I have no idea if he would be interested. If he was, giving him two or three games to see if he could steady the ship might lead to a longer appointment if no other better options emerged.

From Eastbourne’s point of view what an amazing week: lost 7-0 away at Torquay and refunded the fans one Saturday and now win 6-0 at home the next Saturday!
Does 6-0 qualify for a refund for the travelling Beavers??

blame a loss like today more on the players than management, they have clearly downed tools.
Time for a change! Does Simon from Hanworth fancy the job? Dowse until end of the season?

As a bit of distraction, elsewhere in NLS today there were some other shocks:
10th placed AFC Totten (Tuesday's opponents) lost 5-0 at home
League leaders Hornchurch lost 5-0 (away at Worthing)

Even HM will be begging for Dowson back after that.
Contract to the end of the season and all the soup he can handle.
No dont bring him back. He run off to Woking after the playoffs. And took players.

If Jules does go, (no guarantee that he will) we should advertise the job and make a forward thinking, long term appointment, based on potential. Not one based on a panicky, knee jerk response based on a record from almost a decade ago.
